The Schubert Club at the nearby Landmark Center offers a free noontime concert nearly every Thursday from October to May. This week’s concert features City Walk’s own Cléa Galhano. She and musicians Joan Griffith and David Schmalenberger will play a selection of Brazilian music. (Galhano and Griffith have performed a number of times at City Walk social events organized by Ruth Markowitz, and hopefully will again in the future.) The Schubert Club concerts are one of the hidden gems of downtown St. Paul; if your schedule allows it, it’s a great way to hear some excellent music.
