Phone-side Chats

Every week, a board member will speak to the owners they serve in a three minute video.

Here’s how it will work:

  1. From Monday through Wednesday of any week, any board member can contact me to ask to do that week’s video.
  2. If more than one board member asks, I’ll choose the one who’s gone the longest since their last video.
  3. If no board members ask for a given week, I’ll find someone else: a former board member or a committee chair or someone like that, or I’ll do it myself in a pinch.
  4. Some time from Thursday through Sunday afternoon, we’ll meet to record the video. (Or the person can record themself and send it to me.)
  5. I’ll post the videos some time between recording them and the end of day Sunday.

If you’d like to receive email notifications of new videos as they’re posted, let me know and I’ll add you to a Google email discussion group for City Walk owners where I’ll post links to the new videos every week. I’ll also start posting them to this Facebook group for City Walk owners and residents.

Freeman, thank you so much for your video on what our former board was attempting to do which was to conservatively use the reserve study yearly guidelines for updates and repairs to improve the livability, and
Functionality of our home. Your charts clearly show we weren’t frivolous on these upgrades, but rather, that we were thoughtful in our planning . As I’ve said many times before, it was the emergency need to install a new fire notification system that truly affected the reserve bottom line. I hope this board, and our building doesn’t run into this sort of emergency repair in the future like we did with the fire system! We weren’t thrilled to vote for higher HOA fees in 2023 and 2024, but recognized with our future repairs, it was a necessary evil when the dues were only 2 % in many prior years. It was a tough time to be a board member, but I’m proud of our accomplishments.
