February 2026
- Here’s a recording and AI-generated transcript of Monday’s board meeting. As usual, be careful about the AI’s interpretations.
- At the meeting, Ray Aguirre made an unjustified attack on Social Committee chair Ruth Markovitz.
- The next “Owner Conversations with the Board” will be Monday, March 9, 6:30pm in the Party Room. I encourage everyone to attend, as this is a better opportunity to communicate with the board than we’ve had in a long time.
- Speaking of board communications: there are now two “Phone-side Chat” videos posted, in which board members or other present or past leaders of the HOA speak to the ownership for three minutes.
- Speaking of anti-communications: someone is taking down bulletin board posts.
- Help digitize our governing docs!
- Game night this Saturday, Feb 28, 5pm in the Party Room. Come early, 3-5pm, if you’d like to learn how to play Go.
- Lastly, there’s a new Game Night! Every second Wednesday of the month at 5pm in the party room. This is in addition to the original Game Night, which continues on the last Saturday of every month.
January 2026
- Laura Park and Ray Aguirre were elected to fill the two open board seats at tonight’s Annual Meeting. Because they were the only two nominees, no voting was done, so it’s unknown how many votes each would have gotten.
- There’s an update concerning the disturbing email I received from the board: You can now read the entire correspondence I had with the board member here.
- City Walk Talk is launching a new feature: Phone-side Chats. Every week, a board member will speak to the owners in a video recording for no more than five minutes on any subject they feel is important.
December 2025
- A Candidate Forum took place on December 15. Here’s the recording.
- The Annual Meeting is Monday, January 26. If you can’t attend, please consider assigning your voting proxy to someone who can. A proxy gives the other owner the power to vote on your behalf, but they can cast that vote for whomever they like. So be sure to give your proxy to someone who’ll vote as you wish.
- Here’s who I plan to vote for.
- I received a disturbing email from a board member last week.
- The 2026 Budget and HOA fees were mailed to all the owners over the weekend, so you should have received yours by now. Here’s my opinion on the increase in the Reserve Fund transfers.
- Game Nights are the last Saturday of every month, Dec 27 this month, at 5pm in the Party Room. If you’d like to learn the game of Go (the chess of East Asia) come before the 5pm start, any time from 3-5pm, or come to Game Night and then stay after.
- There was no board meeting this month.
